On the making of this movie
I’ve never made a movie before, so every second of this project was a novel experience: from how to hand hold a small DSLR still in a howling storm, to properly directing the star (“no no no don’t turn that way, turn the other way, quick quick!”), to how to condense 1.5 hours of audio dialogue and 7 hours of video footage into 10 structured, coherent minutes. And afterward, the fun (not) of repeatedly destroying my project files in Premiere Pro during the long post production process.

Fun fact
Back in 2010, Flemming and I were joking around about making a “photography and travel documentary featuring otherworldly ethereally beautiful landscapes from the Edge of our World presented in awe-inspiring HD video, still images, time lapse and raw emotional documentary sequences” called Further and Further: Flemming’s Edge of the World. He made a funny banner and posted it on his blog here: http://www.flemmingbojensen.com/blog/2010/07/15/further-and-further-flemmings-edge-of-the-world. We then proceeded to forget all about it.
Fast forward three years, much to our joint amazement, we’ve done exactly that.
