If you’re a friend on Facebook or Twitter, you’ll probably know that among other wonderful things, I’m having my very first exhibition this year, as part of the FotoFreo Open Exhibition Programme.
Tug Boat Dreaming is on from March 28 – April 26, at Little Creatures Brewery in Fremantle. If you’re in the area, drop by, have a drink or a meal and wander upstairs to have a look.
A very big thank you to friends and colleagues who attended the launch, with special mention going to my friend Flemming Bo Jensen, who was instrumental in the success of this exhibition from the get go, Ivan Spanjic from Svitzer, and Little Creatures.
It was so much fun helping you with this exhibition, enjoyed every minute and loved the opening night! Rock on… :)
Look forward to having a flat and some walls so I can purchase and hang a few tug boat images!
Thanks mate. Couldn’t have done it without you! :))
Congratulations! Wish I could get over there to see it in person!
If you make it here in the next couple of weeks by some crazy chance, I’ll give you a guided tour :)
congrats once again, and it was great to finally meet you. you were a popular girl that night, so sorry I didn’t get a chance to chat a bit more. it was a great exhibition, you should be very proud :-)
Thank you. I’m sorry I didn’t get a chance to chat with you more Stephen. It was very nice to finally meet you though! :)
Wow, that’s really fantastic news, I hope it goes really really well, I am quite sure it will.
Thanks muchly Niki. It’s going well, will take it down next week and I’ve had really good responses to it, so really, really pleased :)
Ah, brilliant, very well done indeed. Remember to photograph the actual photos as they are hung in the space, always nice to remember the layout.
Yes! Figuring out how to lay them out was a lot harder than I had anticipated – had to reboot my initial decisions way too many times when image sizing came into play, as I have 3 dramatically different sizes.
It was awesome and you rock! I sent my parents round to see a few weeks ago when they came to visit from England and they were very impressed too.
Aw thanks Charlie :))
Jeeez, i have missed so much !! CONGRATS on your first exhibition Charlene ! It must have been a blast and i hope you enjoyed every little bit of it. I’m sure the reception of your work was great. Also amazing work with Flemming on his book. You two appearantly make a great combo for those kind of things.
I can see your ”commute” series is shaping up to be a great one. I’m just catching up on your blog and i see you’re truly getting somewhere with it ! Love the Alight vid btw. Oh and how i envy your another Magnum Workshop
p.s sold my whole SLR kit 3 months ago two – strange to see FBJ did the same and you’re thinking it too – we must have had some similar ideas going on in our heads recently. What are you shooting for – XPro1 as i know you were pretty excited about it :>
my congrats once again on everything C ! wish i could see your exhibition in person
Thanks Radek! I hope you’ve been well. I’m not selling my entire SLR kit anytime soon (although bits of it are fast disappearing), but yes, x-pro 1 is totally the go. Everything I want in a little(r) frame :)
