March 2014, Copenhagen: I’ll always think of Copenhagen as the place where things came together. The crossing of impossible borders by actually getting to Europe (I still cannot believe I got there, and am going back again), artists to collaborate with, a different atmosphere, and overall, a different (better) kind of self to be.
To paraphrase a young artist I met recently in RedBull Studios Copenhagen, it is the power of the people who love you that lift you, restores you when life throws more at you than you know what to do with, and this is what gives us power also to do our best work. Only in Copenhagen have I come across people that loved the work I do, and have expressed this in more than words. It’s an astonishing thing to experience.
Good medicine.
I still get a kick out of thinking back to your 2008 comment about how you thought you’d never see Europe :) Københavnsk magi for altid :)
Tell me about it! I’ve lived about 10 years’ worth of life in the last year and a quarter.
And, Europe!!!
Europe is amazing just by itself, and then to find that connection… it must have been incredible.
I look forward to getting caught up on all your adventures since I’ve been away!
It was pretty incredible. I’m still kind of not over it, to be honest!
These are really great. Very creative.
Thanks Rob :)
