You can read about me in Swedish, English and Japanese this month.
Kamera & Bild (Sweden)
I have an 8 page feature (interview and photos) in Kamera & Bild’s Fujifilm Special issue this month – in Swedish! This is the first interview I’ve ever given to a publication, and I got to be featured in the alongside the esteemed Knut Koivisto, so it’s pretty damn exciting. If you live in the Nordics, I think you should be able to pick up a copy at major magazine retailers.
If you’d like to read it online, there’s a link below the issue article on this page.
So many thanks to Karl Löweberg of Fujifilm Nordic for putting me up for this.
Fujifilm X-Stories
I think of my past 4 years as those of upheaval, marked with the milestones of the battles old and new. Every day has been one where I’ve had to choose to take the high road of my heroes, or the alternative path of the ostrich. Most of the time it’s been a tussle between the two, with the ostrich exerting a stronger pull than the hero. You know how it goes: one step up, two steps down. It feels like living though, which is nothing at all to complain about.
But I bought the X-Pro 1 four years ago too, in a stroke of serendipity. X-series cameras have been robust companions through these years, and continue to regularly impart a lesson or two about what I think I’m doing. There and Back Again: An X-series Journey, is a look back at my journey using the first X-series flagship in 2012, to its latest incarnation released in mid January this year. Read it here.
It’s the first time I’ve been featured in a major print magazine, and published on the official Fujifilm X series website. It may never happen again, so I’m raising a glass or two to this one.
Many congratulations on your acknowledged fame! I’m pleased for you.
But I’d love to be able read the interview and I have no Swedish…is there a translation into English anywhere?
Fran
Thank you, Fran! I wouldn’t go as far as to say I’m famous, but it’s nice to get a nod (and what a nod it is!).
Sadly, there isn’t a translation anywhere. This was done for the Swedish market only.
Congratulations! I’m sure this won’t be the last time you’re featured in a photography magazine :)
Thank you! Maybe someone will interview me some day for a worthwhile project, if I ever do one.
hat’s off to you!
Thank you, walker :)
Congratulations, this is a wicked achievement! A toast is deserved indeed. Well done!
Thank you, Holly! It is too exciting for words, especially since I’ll only get to see the mag in April, where it’s waiting for me in Copenhagen :)
Making Magic, every day, why I call you the Magic One :) I cannot wait till we get to see the mag next month!
Me neither <3
