Day 26 of 100, Hannover, Germany

The four of us, sitting at the long dining table, two on laptops, two on paper. The midday sun, undeterred by cloud cover, pours in white silled windows. It’s still but for the faint churn of the dishwasher ingesting its breakfast, and typing sounds.

A pot of Oxalis, luxuriously fanned against the window panes, waves gaily in the cool draft.

“I need a hundred and twenty mils of whiskey…. do you have any lousy whiskey in the cupboard?”

Chuckles all around.

It’s Sunday.
