Berlin #3

Day 52 of 100, Berlin, Germany

We are drawn again to the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe. It is an intense experience, even under yesterday’s blue glare. Today, subdued by cloud cover, delivers an appropriate somberness to a second visit.

The underground information center should not be missed if you do visit the memorial. The Italian writer Primo Levi’s quote “It happened, and therefore it could happen again; this is the core of what we have to say,” greets you, written large, at the main entrance. May we continue to remember.
