Max

Day 73 of 100, Nordjylland, Danmark

That face. Come on. You can’t not love him.

This is Max. He lives down the road at the neighbour’s house, with Lulle (sounds like “Lula”) the basset hound, who loves everyone deeply but is pretty old and has some problems making it down the long driveway to get a cuddle – though it’s a little easier to coax her out when it isn’t freezing. Max wants to play football all the time, but these days he’s had to be content with just getting attention, and some pictures made, which he always poses for beautifully. He’s a looker and he knows that we know it.

One of the things I truly love about staying out here in the country with Flemming’s dad, is the number of dogs we encounter. We do a long loop walk around the area every day and the neighbours, many of them farmers or people living on former farming property, all have lovely dogs and don’t mind a couple of weirdos stopping to make friends.

Encountering my four legged friends always makes my day. Dogs are great.
