Bas Melaka

A ride on a 30 year old train line, to make a bus journey not traveled in 30 years.

In the last post i mentioned balik kampung. Going back to the village is a step back into the past. The place might be made new, but the spaces are old, revered.

It is stepping into a part of you that you don’t really know. And then saying I’m hungry for chicken rice at 7.30 a.m. because it’s all about what you can’t get where you live. And you are Singaporean, so it makes sense that the kind of Asian food you actually want, is Malaysian.
