Stories of Hope from Iraq | Middle East Institute of Singapore

On 30 October this year, I had the honour of presenting at a virtual salon session hosted by the Middle East Institute of Singapore. On tap during my 45 minute talk were lots of photos — of course! — of Kurdistan, of the refugees and internally displaced people who are a part of my big work family at Preemptive Love, of grand mountains in the land of the Kurds.

Thank you to MEI for having me, all my friends who came to support me, everyone who turned up to listen to a stranger’s stories, and to all the Iraqis — Kurdish, Arab or otherwise — whom I’ve had the honour of standing alongside.

Listen to the talk above. The presentation is the first 45 minutes – the rest of the time is a Q&A.
